Level-controlled sync-record function, automatic generation of track numbers (auto-track) and silence (auto-space), auto-ready (automatic pausing at the beginning of each track) and auto-cue functions for finding the audio beginning of the selected track. Other useful performance features include pitch-control up to ±12%, programme play up to 25 tracks, shuffle play and a record/playback timer for delayed operation. The integrated sampling monitor ensures that signals received at the digital input appear at the analogue output and vice versa acting as a basic D/A and A/D converter.

Tracks can be easily edited using a wide range of menu functions and a standard PS2 keyboard connector has been provided on the front panel to further simplify access to editing. Comprehensive on-disc editing functions include divide, erase, move, combine, undo, title, title copy and overwrite and the title memory permits 100 characters per song and a total of 1,700 characters per disc.
