Brief job description: Quality engineer / CMM Inspector

To provide inspection and quality function to the Chasestead Ltd manufacturing function of and help maintain the quality system to ISO9001-2000 and AS9100.
To validate the quality of machined and sheet metal components and assemblies in terms of dimensional accuracy and structural integrity. Ensure material and process certification is complete for every job. Produce quality documents that support our aims to align ourselves with AS9100 accreditation. Create and implement systems that will improve Chasestead's performance regarding delivery of products with the target of zero defects/returns. Champion quality throughout the business and represent Chasestead to its customers.


Breakdown of main duties:-

1. Final Inspection
Programme new components on the CMM machines
Run Parts and complete inspection reports to schedule
Visual batch check
Feedback information to the manufacturing department

2. Interim & First Off Inspection


3. Maintain ISO9001-2000 and AS9100 Quality System
Checking Traceability and Identification requirements are satisfied by checking Job Cards batch numbers, labels and part marking.

Skills required:-

Ability to program CMM slant bridge machinery.
Knowledge and experience of "PC-DMIS"
Experience in Quality Engineering"
