The position available is for a trainee mortgage broker. This entails you, the trainee, to shadow a fully trained mortgage advisor for a period of 6-8 months, to gain the practical experience required to give mortgage advice on your own, without any additional assistance by observing the daily workings of the mortgage advice industry, which products are used and which packages mortgage advisors use to get the best deals possible for their clients.
During this period of time your basic salary will be between 16-20k per year. Your basic will depend on your previous sales, customer services, as well as financial industry experience. You will, in addition to your basic salary, receive commission, and benefits based on your performance.
After your 6-8 month period of being a trainee you will be given your CAS status, which enables you to give mortgage advice without supervision, of your own accord. Once receiving your CAS, you will receive a higher basic salary of between 20-30k per year, depending on your performance during the training period. In addition to this basic, you will receive commission, as well as benefits.
