Redbourn Personnel Ltd is working with a leading provider of home study courses, with students throughout the UK across a variety of disciplines. We currently have a full-time vacancy for an experienced credit controller to join a busy team in Luton.

Job Description
As credit controller, you will answer directly to the departmental manager and your key responsibilities will be as follows:
· Answering incoming telephone calls in a timely and professional manner.
· Responding to general account enquiries in line with company procedures.
· Making outbound telephone calls to negotiate the collection of outstanding arrears.
· Keeping the company records up to date and completing administrative duties as appropriate.
· Performing any other reasonable duties as and when required to do so by the departmental manager.

The proposed hours of work for this role will be Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30 with the possibility of Saturday overtime, though you will need to offer a level of flexibility from time to time in order to meet our business requirements.

Person Specification
The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate an understanding of credit control processes. You will need strong communication and negotiation skills whilst being able to maintain an excellent attention to customer services at all times. Due to the administrative nature of this role you will also need a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages. Preference will be given to candidates that have a working knowledge of financial payment methods.

Remuneration Details
In return we are offering the right applicant a competitive salary along with an additional performance related bonus scheme. You will receive 20 days paid holiday per year plus bank holidays and full, extensive training will be provided.
