Luton nanny / babysitting

Family in Harpenden looking for Nanny Housekeeper to start ideally beginning of December

Date posted: Wednesday 4th November
Location: Harpenden

We are a happy family of four living in Harpenden. My husband and I both work in London and we have a girl of 10 and a boy of 8 who are both at school locally.

We are looking for someone with a sunny personality who is trustworthy, organised and reliable with a "can do" approach to perform a housekeeper role and also to look after our children when they are not at school and support and encourage them in all that they do. We are also looking to get a labrador puppy around end of February so taking it for walks and looking after it will be very much part of the job.

You must be able to drive, a non-smoker, CRB checked or prepared to have a check, and be able to provide references. You must also either be an English speaker or have excellent English.

The job would entail being available to work Monday to Friday but with 1 day off a week. Ideally, we would also want the option of 2 nights babysitting included as part of the job (although this would not always be used). Hours: 8am - 7pm but with a 10am start on 2 days during term time.

Housekeeping duties would include: shopping, preparing an evening meal, ironing, washing, changing towels and bed linen, hoovering, errands, dealing with tradesmen, keeping house tidy, sewing on nametapes/lost buttons etc. (we also employ a cleaner).

Children duties would include: taking them to school some days, picking them up each day, taking them to activities, helping with homework, preparing nutritious meals, playdates, organising activities in the school holidays.

Salary negotiable according to experience.

If you are interested in applying for this job, please email us with a short cover note and attach your CV or a statement setting out your experience and why you think you might be right for us.
