Hays Education is working with this Independent School in Bishop Stortford, Hertfordshire, and they are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant for their Year 3 and 4 classes.

The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the teacher and generally assisting in the classroom. The candidate will be supporting the teacher with planning and delivery of lessons and working with children on one to one and small group basis as well as sometimes leading whole classes.

This vacancy has an immediate start and it is a full-time position until July 2010. There is a possibility for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

You will have:
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- A positive attitude towards children
- A calm and patient manner
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Experience of working in a school
