The family are looking for a support worker/'buddy' for 'B' who is 21. 'B' has an undiagnosed disability; he has varying muscle tone, so due to this he is a wheelchair bound. 'B' needs all general care, but there are hoists in place to aid with this. 'B' is also (very!) verbal and is very sociable with a great sense of humour. He also has significant sight problems which can sometimes make him anxious and he finds reassurance in repeating treasured routines and in the familiarity of home. He has well-controlled epilepsy and asthma and requires medication for both. 'B' loves going out and about and currently enjoys pottery which he does at college. He also loves music and listening to audio books. Duties will include personal care, and accompanying and enabling 'B' to enjoy his various interests and activities. 'B' enjoys spending time with lively people who joke a lot! The family would like someone to work four days per week. Lovely family known to SNAP for several years.
