Bertie is approx 3 or 4 years old and was found as a stray in North London. He was living in a carpark for several weeks and being fed by local residents until I took him in 3 months ago. He is registered with Cats Protection and desperately needs a good and permanent home. If he is not rehomed in the next few weeks he will have to be re-fostered as I am moving overseas. This could mean that he will be moved to an enclosed pen, where he would lose his much loved freedom. It is distressing that he has to be moved around so I am making a special appeal to anyone who could give Bertie a decent chance for a future.

He has a lovely short haired coat and beautiful markings. As his past is unknown, I would only recommend people rehoming him who ideally have experience with cats and no young children. He is however, gentle and laid back.

He is a huge lad and is very much an outdoors cat so needs a garden. A farm environment would be ideal.

As he is registered with Cats Protection there will be a home check and a small donation requested, but please don't let this put you off because it really is a straightforward process. You would be donating to an excellent charity and be secure in the knowledge that Bertie is microchipped, neutered, fully vaccinated and very healthy (vet fees which can cost an awful lot more if you are getting a kitten).
