Location: Luton
Salary: £25,000 - £32,000
An exciting In-House Legal position has arisen for an experienced Legal executive within our clients Customer related Litigation team. You will identify and action opportunities to deal with such claims in the most commercially beneficial way and look to recover any unavoidable outlay.
You will work with your team to achieve all performance targets, whilst maintaining the highest level of service to customers and stakeholders.
Our clients customer Legal Department deal with all customer litigation including, but not limited to, ``fast-track`` and ``small claims``, injury and quality claims, with the aim of minimising expense and loss whilst providing an excellent service.
Responsibilities:
Interact with Team Leaders, Consumer Litigation Executives and various support staff to ensure that they feel adequately supported to provide excellent service
Improve the level of service delivered by the department by conducting effective side by side coaching to the department`s staff
Regularly liaising with all relevant insurers to ensure that they are provided with adequate information in respect of consumer claims
Set, adjust and monitor regular targets for the Consumer Litigation Team
Work with the department`s other Team Managers and Supervisors to improve performance
Maintaining a workload claims including, but not limited to, complex fast-track personal injury claims
Work successfully with appropriate Counsel to ensure that the function of handling Consumer Litigation is as effective as possible
Draft extensive court documents and statements during the process of dealing with Consumer Litigation
Skills:
Ability to use initiative and take full ownership of decisions on quantum and liability
Good business letter writing skills
Ability to understand and apply statute and case law
Extensive experience in handling small claims and fast-track litigation
Legal qualification (I.L.E.X or similar) would be advantageous
