Job Title: Handyperson / Caretaker
Location: Luton, Bedfordshire
Salary: £16,500 pa
Hours: 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Benefits: 20 days Holiday and Pension

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• To carry out minor repairs and maintenance to the Centre. Repairs will include general carpentry, plumbing, painting, re-glazing, unblocking sinks, changing locks, changing light bulbs, replacing tap washers, easing doors, re-hanging gates etc. to be undertaken without compromising the health and safety of the post holder or others.

• Insuring planned preventative maintenance systems are carried out in accordance with schedules.

• Direction of specialist sub-contractors.

• Participate in a regular, structured on call system for the Company’s group sites within your region as defined in your Employment Contract.

• To ensure that the property and surrounding area are maintained to best health and safety standards; to comply with Health & Safety procedures and requirements; to report emergencies, repairs, and health & safety problems.

• Accurate completion of time sheets and any relevant forms.

• Stock-taking (where appropriate) and keeping records of stock levels.

Skills / Qualifications Required:
• At least 3 years experience in a similar role
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be well presented
• Must have a positive attitude to work
• Must have good customer service skills
