Required Immediatly; an enthusiastic Sociology specialist to join a successful, supportive department. All staff have laptops. We would require the successful teacher to teach the English National Curriculum to Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

This is a highly successful and over-subscribed 11-18 community school with a strong focus on teaching and learning. There are nearly 1200 pupils on roll including over 200 in the sixth form. The school is at the forefront of many educational initiatives and has a determination to raise standards. The school achieved combined Specialist College status in Performing Arts and Science in July 2005 and is a DFES Training School.

Candidates are preferred to have a relevant degree and experience teaching A-level Sociology, but candidates with other Sociology qualifications are welcome to apply. Applications from experienced teachers are welcomed but the post would also be suitable for newly qualified applicants.
